Awards Season's Leading Ladies

This award season, the frocks haven't been for the faint hearted. Some have oozed elegance and sophistication whilst others have been different and fun. Though, like always some have been downright awful. Simply fashion don'ts. And while this year has had a mix of both, there has been two people who have savily shone out of the mass of celebs and glamazons. Allison Williams and Lupita Nyong'o. Take a look at my favourite two looks of theirs from this season!

Allison

Allison looks gorgeous in both of these completely different looks. In the first one, she is wearing a two-toned, tuxedo neck dress by the late L'Wren Scott. She has acessorized the beautiful dress with simple black courts and a black clutch. She looks every part the Hollywood actress.

In the second look, Allison is wearing a great design by fellow Brit, Emilia Wickstead. Emilia's collection has been well showcased this year with many models of the range including Caitlin Fitzgerald who featured on my Golden Globes Lowdown (Click here for a link). The candy pink really pops and doesn't drown her figure. She looks extremely sophisticated with a slick-back do and earrings.

Lupita

Lupita really has worn the world to this season. In this Chanel Couture dress and jacket combo, she looks every bit elegant. It's light pink shade goes well with her white clutch and really highlights the whiteness of her teeth and eyes.

In this STUHNING Dior Couture gown, Lupita really has hit the fashion jackpot. The beautiful emerald shade contrasts well against her skin tone, whilst the matching gold belt and cuffs tie the whole outfit together. I love the trailing skirt and pleated hem. I'd probably say this was my favourite outfit of award season. Well done!

Thank you for reading and sorry it's sooo late. All pictures are from the Vogue UK app, (featured in my recent fashion app blog post), for Apple and Android products. I look forward to seeing more wonderful outfits from both gorgeous girls! Happy Easter!
