Save & Splurge - Sophia Loren Style

I always see celebs in the most gorgeous and desirable designer gear and then begin to cry over the price tag. Doesn't it happen to us all? Well if we don't live on champagne and caviar and live in our Louboutin's darling. It's fine for some not all. As I love the look of the expensive kind of emptying-my-bank-account stuff and the price of the normal-kind-of-person clothes why not mix the eye candy with the handy price tag. Then I had the trouble of finding someone who was so crazily stylish but also wasn't impossible to mirror in their style. You can't go wrong with Sophia Loren. A true style inspiration. So here I have done three remakes of some of her most stunning outfits.

The websites used for my remakes -
Splurge

Earrings - Tiffany & Co

2) Shoes - Christian Louboutin
Skirt - DKNY
Tights - Wolford

3) Trench Coat - Burberry
Scarf - Ted Baker

Save

1) Dress - Miss Selfridge
Brooch - Topshop
Shoes - Topshop
Earrings - River Island

2) Shoes - Topshop
Top - Missguided
Skirt - Topshop
Tights - Topshop

3) Trench Coat - Marks & Spencer

Strutting Down The Aisle

There is always someone getting married. With Kim Kardashian and Kanye West just engaged and our Royal Wedding only two years ago, I am going to show you my favourite wedding gowns of all time, lovely for a winter wedding. Personally, I am all for the elegant, lacy numbers but of course this is only my opinion. The main thing of importance is that you feel beautiful on your wedding day. That's all that matters.

The Stunner- Millie Manderson (nee Mackintosh)

Millie just looks amazing! This gorgeous flowing dress is really complementary of her petite frame. She keeps the wedding outfit very vintage with milkmaid braids and a wreath of small white flowers circling her head. The Professor is a very lucky man!

The Princess - Grace Kelly (Princess Of Monaco

What can you say? Grace Kelly was the ultimate bride when she married Prince Rainier III Of Monaco. She really was a princess, literally Princess of Monaco. As we all know, Grace's gorgeous gown inspired Kate Middleton's royal dress. The design is so truly elegant with the top long-sleeved with delicate lace. The skirt is full with neat horizontal pleating around her waist. Grace was always a true beauty and stayed gracious till her death. A sure role model.

The 20's Gal - Anne Hathaway (Shulman)

Anne looks gorgeous in her trailing 20's dress. Once again, I love a load of lace! Anne is looking fab with her brunette pixie crop, with a lace headband and mesh veil when she married hubbie Adam Shulman last September.

The Bride Next-Door - Abbey Crouch (nee Clancy)

Abbey looks every bit the model she is! Seems Peter looks quite pleased! Abbey's petite frame is draped in this beautiful, figure-hugging robe is sooooooooooo amazing!!! She really does look great and the dress does her even more favours!

The Natural Beauty - Martha Followill (nee Patterson)

How gorgeous is she! Martha's dress leaves my mouth gaping open! The boned corset is covered in beautiful frills and lace with an amazing fringed skirt! I love the modern twist on a traditional wedding gown.

The Ultimate Dress - Princess Marie-Chantal of Greece (nee Miller)

This Princess' dress is a one of a kind...and it really is! Marie's dress is a tailor-made piece of art from the 'Master Of Couture', the King himself, Valentino Garavani! This Princess kindly loaned her flabagasting phenomenon to the amazing exhibition of Valentino at Somerset House at the start of this year. Luckily enough, I was able to attend and I can tell you I've never seen something quite like it! Do I need to say anymore?

Thankyou:)!

The Skirt Trend - Street Style

The skirt trend is a personal favourite of mine. Of course, we all look at the high-end designers who practically ask for you to give an arm and a leg to pay for these beautiful garments. It's painful to look at the price tag let alone think of what your missing out on. Sad face. Well, turn that frown upside down! Here is my version of this fab trend! Love it. Hope his helps:)!

The Outfit

The skirt, Asos. The rest, Topshop.

This outfit I think is perfect for a winters day, travelling around the city. I would wear this gorgeous ensemble with the coat open and the shirt tucked in. Hope this gives some inspiration!

Fearsome Fashion

A happy Halloween to all! It is nearly the time of year where you have an excuse to dress up literally as a psycho. So far some people can get that edge when it comes to fancy dress. You have the cool girls who dress up so as they are in the boundaries but you get some truly cringe-worthy people who either flaunt themselves so raunchily that even the bogeyman would be surprised! Here are some of the best examples of cauldron class and tombstone trash! All pictures are from The Daily Mail Website (TV & Showbiz)

Winner of Cauldron Class - Naya Rivera

Naya looks stunning dressed in this red PVC ensemble, which she wore to Kate Hudson's Halloween bash. The American actress and singer was dressed as Carmen Sandiego, the cartoon character, in a red strapless PVC bodysuit, red mac, yellow sash, black trilby, silver briefcase and thigh high, heeled, black patent leather boots. Naya pulled off a great Halloween outfit! Bravo to her!

Winner of Hair-Raising Humour - Joan Rivers

Trust Joan to bring out some fun on Halloween! A Miley Cyrus outfit! How I laughed! No-one could have gone unaware of Miley's recent crazy rampage. Personally, I think Miley can do what she likes, though she might not be going the best way about it. Joan donned a fatsuit with nude PVC bikini, false tongue, giant pointing hand and two false buns. This award is well deserved!

Winner of Horrifying History - Kelly Brook

Kelly this year has gone for the Marie Antoinette look with an all frills outfit. Directly, I prefer previous impersonations of Marie for Halloween but that doesn't mean Kelly didn't pull it off. Kelly looks fab as always in her white and pink rara skirt and corset top. She wore thigh-high, frilly socks, a white and pink, feather and rose hat, white, quilted clutch bag and pink heels to accompany it.

Winner of Global Gruesomeness - Fergie

Here we have Fergie dressed as Morticia from the famous film characters, The Addams Family. She too went to Kate Hudson's bash alongside Naya with her new baby papa, Josh Duhamel. Congratulations to them! Anyway, Fergie wore a long, black velvet dress with a thigh-high split, a black leather waist belt with an embellished sword on it. To accessorise the outfit, she wore a fake, black beehive wig. Fab Fergie, fab!

Have a happy Halloween and don't get too spooked out!

The New Girls On The Block - Bam-B Jewellery

Jewellery is an essential part of everyone's wardrobe. I don't know anybody who doesn't own a piece. But when it comes to jewellery, you always want a combination of things. The price can't be too extortionate yet you still want something that is good quality and will last its while. Somehow, this isn't easy to find. You have the high street stores who are cheap but bad quality and then you have the high-end designers, who are good quality but have far too many zeros on the end. Well, may I introduce Bam-B London. This young and contemporary brand is just starting out. That doesn't mean they're not known, so far they have been sponsored by The Prince's Trust, exhibited at Boxpark alongside Kara Bieber and Damien Hirst and exhibited at The Loughran Galleries twice. As I said they're just starting out. Together, the gorgeous Caitlin and Brittany hand design each of the beautiful pieces. It's not your typical jewellery. All their designs are either extremely delicate with tiny intricate details, which is displayed in the Aporia Ring, which I own a silver one of. Or there designs are highly geometric with big pieces, resembling slate or comets, which is shown in the design of the Isis necklace. I love the originality which is visible in all of their rings, bracelets and necklaces and it's obvious that there are big things to come for them. With a lookbook in the process and a mention in Tatler, trust me, you'll be seeing them again! Remember the name and check out the links below!

Royal-ly Beautiful!

A huge congratulations to Kate & Wills for delivering a beautiful baby boy, Prince of Cambridge as no christian name chosen yet! Proud to be British! Here is a timeline of Kate's maternity fashion from the very early days till, in fact, today!

October

Kate's khaki trench matched with a crocodile-skin belt, below-the-knee suede boots and suede clutch. The outfit isn't particularly amazing but I think we can forgive! According to Kate's usual high-end looks, this outfit isn't really up to scratch. We all have those days but luckily for us, we don't have paps hunting after us!

November

Kate oozes elegance in this lace Alice Temperly gown. This figure-hugging dress, which she wore to the St Andrews anniversary dinner, shows of her slim figure gorgeously. She couldn't have worn something more graciously amazing!

December

At her first appearance since announcing her pregnancy, Kate wore an emerald Alexander McQueen dress which covered her blooming bump modestly keeping attention off her when possible. This outfit is safe, and in these circumstances I like it, but I think it could have been styled better overall.

January

Yet another fashion hit! This pastel and light gold sequined dress I love entirely! It's brocaded satin is a gorgeous material to use and I love the loosely bunched sleeves which fall over her shoulders. Also, the triangular style sequin trail, around the waist, hides her bump delicately. Kate's gorgeous smile tops this outfit off.

February

Kate looks casually stylish in this grey MaxMara wrap dress. Her simple silver jewellery and simple black stilettos keep this outfit to its style code, still keeping her belly under wraps. I think the main thing that makes this outfit is Kate as the actual outfit isn't the most special of things.

March

Kate looks cute and cheery in this cream, 'Peter Pan' collared coat. And we have a breakthrough...we can see her perfect bump! She looks happy and gorgeous in this simple coat and I don't think she could look any better!

April

Kate's Topshop polka-dot dress was an instant sell out. She looks classy teaming the dress with black accessories. This dress is now one of her most well-known outfits worn due to the huge publicity surrounding the Royal Baby.

May

Again the Duchess looks glowing at the Queen's Summer Party. Her yellow patterned overcoat was a very elegant choice.  Her fascinator is thankfully simple, (she luckily hadn't taken inspiration form Princess Beatrice & Eugenie's fascinators worn to the Royal Wedding! PHEW!), and her cream heels, very classic. She uses a beige clutch as a bump support!

June

Kate looks very pretty in pastels as she nears the end of her pregnancy. The silver belt embellishes her stomach much to our joy! Her rose dress has a beautiful lace hem and her paneled, tailored coat is utterly beautiful. Kate pulls the outfit over perfectly!

July

I don't think I need to elaborate but may we treasure this picture forever. A great moment for all.

The Love-ing Serve-ice to Fashion.

Following the hoof steps of Royal Ascot, we come to Wimbledon. And of course, with another sports event comes some more amazing outfits, oh and also another cheesy title! Nothing less! Today I will be focusing on two particular people. Kim Sears, who is Andy Murray's gorgeous girlfriend, and Pippa Middleton, Kate's sis and 'Maid of Honour' for the fab Royal Wedding...that's when she wore that dress. Still think the nation wants her bum! Moving on, I'm going to show you my favourites, starting with Kim.

Kim has teamed her beautifully tailored blue blazer perfectly with a sleek beige blouse striped tangerine down the middle. The pastels blend nicely and the outfit has the pop of colour that it needs without any patterns.

Kim's block colours pop nicely. Her canary blazer, styled more casual than in the previous, doesn't class with her pleated emerald blouse. She has finished the outfit off nicely with a tan leather bag and simple black leggings.

I love Kim's cream trench coat, which is most probably Burberry or Zara depending on how her 'High Street Queen' side was strong on the day she brought it. Underneath, it looks like she's wearing a thin, speckled grey jumper, accompanied by dark denim skinny jeans.

Overall, Kim's style is nice and clean cut. She has quite a classic sense of fashion, which she puts together nicely. I'm sure the future will bring her more saavy outfits. This is the link for Kim's Outfits. As it is a slideshow, just go through to see all of them displayed.

Now, onto Pippa...

Pippa's Temperly dress is not one of my favourites. It's not the worst I've ever seen but I wouldn't wear it personally. I think the cut is unflattering and makes her hips look wider spread than they should. The horizontal stripes make matter worse by making her body look out of proportion. Pippa is beautiful and has a very slender body but with this dress, all it does is take her figure away. Maybe with a nude-coloured strip cutting across the waist, it might complement her figure. Pippa is beautiful in anything she wears but this time she has got a little but side-tracked with her choice of outfit.
(The Link.)

I much prefer this outfit to the previous. Her cute, light blue summer dress and cobalt tweed jacket, with frayed trim match nicely. She finishes off the simple look with a large, envelope clutch. I like this outfit but it isn't the most amazing Pippa has worn.
(The Link.)

Overall, Pippa's style is quite trim and simple. She never wears overstated, bold patterns and keeps her dress code quite modest but what would you expect from the Duchess of Cambridge's sister.

Thankyou for reading!

Some Stable Outfits!

Hay, I'll get back to the mane story! Sorry, I know it's cheesy... Anyway, I thought I'd share the best of Royal Ascot's outfits and the chosen ones are donned by celebs! We have one from Pixie Lott, (who seems to have been in the shadows recently but is said to be recording her third album in Miami.), Cheska Hull, (I like your style but there is not much else to say...), and Victoria Pendleton...who has just signed a deal with Halfords, "OH, I SAY!". Anyway...the links for the photos are, (Pixie's Outfit) , (Cheska's Outfit) & (Victoria's Outfit) .

Pixie's gorgeous dress goes perfectly with the matching rose on the simple hat. The clutch and shoes keep the outfit modest and fit for a day at Royal Ascot!

Cheska hasn't chosen the safest outfit but somehow I think it works! The matching brown leather clutch and graduation hat (best word to describe it...) compliment her tight cream, slight-neck, knee-length dress. One thing though. What's with the electric blue peep toes? Next time please stick to some cream ones. You my feel the urge to have a pop of colour but it's not needed when you have different textures and styles.

I LOVE this companionship that Vicky has put together! The black and red tailored dress is beautiful in itself but with the red origami head piece and the velvet black heels, wow! Just wow! And to bring everything together is the bright red lipstick. An amazing outfit on an amazing day!
